Terms of Service
The short version
- Paw101 is free, and you must be 16 or older to use it.
- Your account is anonymous and lives on your device. If you lose the device, you lose the account.
- Be truthful and be decent. Harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, nudity, selling animals and animal cruelty all get accounts removed.
- The AI assistant is not a vet and its answers are not veterinary advice.
- You meet other owners at your own risk. We do not verify identities or vaccination claims.
1. Accepting these terms
Paw101 is published by Joqr Apps ("we", "us", "our"), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These terms are the agreement between you and us about your use of the Paw101 app.
You accept them when you accept them in the app, and by continuing to use Paw101. We record the time at which you accepted. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and is part of this agreement. You can contact us at any time at meena@joqrapps.com, or through our Support page.

2. Who can use Paw101
- You must be 16 years or older. The App Store rating for Paw101 is 16+.
- Paw101 is published on the United Arab Emirates App Store and is meant for residents of Dubai and the UAE. It is not offered anywhere else, and you should not use it from outside the UAE.
- You must own the dog you list, or be the person responsible for that dog and entitled to make decisions about it.
3. Your account
Paw101 creates an anonymous account on your device the first time you open it. There is no email address, phone number or password.
Your account is bound to that app install on that device, and cannot be recovered. If you delete the app, reset your phone or lose the device, the account and everything in it are gone permanently. We cannot restore it or move it, because there is nothing that identifies it as yours.
One account holds one dog. You are responsible for everything that happens from your device — if you hand your unlocked phone to someone else, whatever they do in Paw101 counts as yours.
4. What you may and may not post
These rules apply to your profile, your dog's profile, your photos and your messages.
Be truthful. Describe your dog and yourself accurately — the breed, the age, the vaccination and neutering status, and your intent. Other owners make real decisions about their animals based on what you write.
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone, or post hate speech targeting anyone.
- Post sexual content or nudity of any kind.
- Post photos of other people who have not agreed to appear in them.
- Impersonate someone else, or post a profile for a dog that is not yours.
- Use Paw101 for commercial solicitation, advertising or spam.
- Sell, offer to sell, or trade animals through the app.
- Post anything showing cruelty, neglect or mistreatment of an animal.
Breeding. Paw101 lets you say that you are open to breeding contacts, and lets you find other owners who have said the same. That is all it does. We do not facilitate, arrange, broker or vet breeding arrangements, and we make no assessment of any dog's suitability for breeding. Anything you go on to arrange is between you and the other owner, and you are responsible for complying with UAE animal-welfare and breeding regulations, including any licensing that applies to you.
5. Moderation and reporting
An automatic filter rejects prohibited words in messages and in profile text before they are posted.
Anyone can report or block from a profile or from a conversation: open the profile or the conversation, tap the "…" menu and choose Report or Block. Blocking is immediate and does not tell the other person.
We review reports. Where we judge it appropriate, we may remove content, suspend an account or delete an account without prior notice — including for anything in section 4, and including in urgent cases where an animal or a person may be at risk.
If you believe we removed your content or your account by mistake, you can appeal.
[DECIDE: appeal address] — Confirm which email address handles moderation appeals. If it is your general support address, write "email meena@joqrapps.com with what happened and when" here and delete this box. If you want appeals to go somewhere separate, set that address up first and put it here.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Paw101 — your text, your photos, your dog's records.
You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store your content and to show it to other users, for the sole purpose of operating Paw101 as described in these terms and in our Privacy Policy. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not license it on to anyone.
That licence ends when you delete the content, or when you delete your account. Reports you have filed about other people are the one exception: we keep those for moderation, with your identity removed from them.
7. The AI assistant
The AI assistant is not a veterinarian and does not give veterinary advice. Its answers are generated by an AI model, are general information only, and may be wrong.
Do not use it for diagnosis, for treatment decisions, or as a substitute for seeing a vet. If your dog is unwell or you think this is an emergency, contact a veterinarian. You use the answers entirely at your own risk.
Your questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Please do not type personal details into it. You are limited to 20 questions per day.
8. Business listings
The Discover section lists real pet businesses in Dubai — vets, groomers, parks, stores, hotels and cafés. Please read it as a starting point, not as a guarantee:
- Names, locations and photos come from Google Places.
- Opening hours, ratings, phone numbers and websites are fetched live from Google when you open a listing. They can still be out of date or wrong, because we do not control them.
- "Emergency" and "24/7" labels are set by us after phoning the clinic, but these things change. Always call ahead before relying on a clinic being open.
- A listing is not an endorsement or a recommendation. We have no relationship with these businesses.
- We do not take bookings, reservations or payments, and we are not part of any dealing you have with a business you find through the app.
9. Meeting in person
You arrange and attend playdates entirely at your own risk. Paw101 introduces profiles. It does not supervise anything that happens afterwards.
- We do not verify anyone's identity, and accounts are anonymous.
- We do not verify vaccination claims, neutering claims, breed, temperament, or anything else on a profile. Any of it can be untrue.
- Meet in public places. Choose somewhere you know, tell someone where you are going, and use your own judgement about the dog as well as the person.
- You are responsible for your dog and for its behaviour towards other dogs and people at all times.
10. Availability and ending your use
Paw101 is free and is provided as it is, when it is available. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it — including features you rely on — and we may stop offering the app altogether. We will give notice where we reasonably can, but we may have to act immediately for security, legal or safety reasons.
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account in the app: Profile → Settings → "Delete account & data". That deletes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or delete your account under section 5, or if you breach these terms. Sections 6, 11, 12 and 13 continue to apply after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law of the United Arab Emirates:
- Paw101 is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind — express or implied — that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or in person, or for what any user says about themselves or their dog.
- We are not responsible for injury, illness, loss or damage to you, to another person, to your dog or to another animal arising from a meeting arranged through Paw101, or from any breeding arrangement between users.
- We are not responsible for information that comes from third parties, including business listing details from Google and answers generated by the AI assistant.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data — including the loss of your account and its contents when a device is lost, reset, or the app deleted.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law. Paw101 is free of charge, and nothing you can pay us exists to be refunded.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Paw101 are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. You and we agree that the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
Before starting any formal proceedings, please email us at meena@joqrapps.com — nearly everything is faster to fix that way.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the version number and the date at the top of this page, and, where the change is significant, we will ask you to accept the new terms in the app. Continuing to use Paw101 after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Paw101. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
